Between these two stints, he stepped into professional rugby with the Emirates Lions, coaching defence and breakdown at Super Rugby and Currie Cup level and helping steer the franchise to a Currie Cup final.
Alongside his club and school coaching, Sean has represented South Africa at national schools level, serving as South Africa Schools U18 Head Coach and, most recently, as Head Coach of the SA Schools U18 Girls programme in 2026 — reflecting his commitment to developing pathways for both boys' and girls' rugby.
