PlayBook Ed invites Master’s and PhD candidates to submit abstracts for either 12-minute oral presentations or poster presentations at the annual School Sport Summit, taking place at Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town, on 21–22 October 2026.

The Summit provides a platform for emerging researchers to share their work, connect with industry professionals, and contribute to the development of knowledge and practice in school sport, sport development, education, leadership, athlete wellbeing, and related fields. We are particularly interested in practical, research-informed contributions that help schools rethink how they support and develop student-athletes.

Acceptance of an abstract (oral or poster) does not include conference registration. All emerging researchers / students must register and pay the student conference fee of R4 950
